Project Description
The stories move us. This was one of those compelling, unimaginable situations:
Loving parents had to make the decision to have half of their son’s brain removed to save his life.
The seizures had lasted hours at a time–each one increased the likelihood of brain damage, made death a closer possibility. When hundreds of doses of medication and every other available alternative failed, their decision was simple.
These are the scenarios that make us wonder: “How can we help?”
In this case, the answers were clear: easier accessibility throughout the home, a special place for the little brother, and a restful retreat for the parents. It was a joy to do.
