Moving the Flywheel

Dear Friends…it has been a long, dry, “sifting season” for this dear little ministry. However, it is  in that season of seeking Him; feeling stuck and trying to push forward that strength is built. The muscles of endurance are toned. Humility becomes part of our fiber, and not just something we seek. And God, through it all, is faithful.

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9

Brighten A Corner Ministry is on the edge of creating tremendous momentum, so that we can get back to the work of serving. We would consider it a privilege to have you partner with us in creating that momentum. In order to effectively do that we need to build some teams to make the corner of our own future brighter.

BETH MOORE TEAM: We are hosting a Living Proof Live video simulcast at Mercy Church in San Luis Obispo. This event on Saturday, September 10th, will serve as a publicity event and fundraising event for us. We need 10 volunteers to help us facilitate the event from 8:00 am-6:00 pm. Tickets will be $25 each, and will include lunch. Email me directly if you can help out!

BAND TOGETHER TEAM: We are in the process of planning an all-out family fun day and Christian band contest fund raising event. There will be a carnival for the kids, all-day music, silent auction and raffle, and food sales to raise money for upcoming projects. We need many, many volunteers to help make it a success!

PRAYER TEAM: We are putting together a prayer team to support the ministry in prayer. This team will commit to praying for humility, discernment and discipline for the leadership of the ministry regularly; will be available through e-mail to be contacted for prayer requests; and will be willing to come to the project sites during the planning process to pray over each project.

ORGANIZING TEAM: This team is committed to reading a few books about organizing so that the team will have a specific organizing strategy that can be shared with volunteers as the projects are taking place. This team will help coordinate the move out and move in of projects to a greater level of (reduced stress) excellence.

Together Everyone Achieves More. I believe that as we look back on this season it will be difficult to know what began the momentum forward for us, because each one part is equally vital. It is an honor to serve Him with you. Before the foundations of the world, God knew you would be a part of this ministry which is so precious to Him. It is a joy to be a part of that work.
